In my photographic art, too, I deal with the theme of perception through the question of “reality or illusion”, freely according to the motto: nothing as it seems.
With these works I would like to encourage you to explore and question the limits and contradictions of perception habits.
Just as in my painting, superimpositions with all their peculiarities play a central role for perception in my photographic art. My compositions are characterized not only by the duality of inside and outside, but also by their interplay in the space in between.
In doing so, I investigate the question of how much one’s accustomed perception can be dissolved by the changed materiality of one’s direct surroundings. In this way I create abstract spatial pictorial worlds whose unusual and sensitive composition captivates the viewer and invites him to transform his accustomed gaze.
